They're studs set with cubic zirconia, a diamond simulant. At Satéur we rank for the term but build the look in moissanite — graded D–E colour, in nickel-free 925 sterling silver with an 18k gold finish, from $88.
Is cubic zirconia or moissanite better?+
Moissanite. CZ rates ~8.5 Mohs and can cloud; moissanite rates 9.25 — second only to diamond — and returns more fire for life. Our studs use moissanite.
How long do CZ stud earrings last?+
Cubic zirconia can cloud and dull within months to a few years of daily wear. Moissanite studs stay brilliant for a lifetime, backed by the Satéur lifetime guarantee.
Can you shower with cubic zirconia studs?+
With moissanite studs, yes — water and daily wear won't cloud them. We'd avoid harsh chemicals, but everyday showering is fine.
What carat size stud should I choose?+
A 1.0ct-look round stud measures roughly 6.5mm — an elegant everyday size. Scale up for a bolder statement. Every stone is graded D–E colour.
