The Diamond-Look Stud Edit

Fake diamond stud earrings are stud earrings set with a diamond simulant — such as cubic zirconia or moissanite — that replicates the look of a diamond.

At Satéur, our diamond-look studs start at $88 — roughly 1% of the price of comparable mined-diamond studs. 'Fake' diamond studs span cubic zirconia, simulated stones and moissanite, and the quality varies widely; we build ours from the best of them.

Each pair is hand-set in nickel-free 925 sterling silver, finished in 18k gold — an 18k gold finish, not solid gold. The nickel-free posts make them safe for sensitive ears, with no green marks, comfortable for everyday wear.

Not all simulants are equal. Cubic zirconia rates about 8.5 on the Mohs scale and can cloud over time, while moissanite rates 9.25 Mohs and keeps its sparkle for a lifetime, with a higher refractive index for more fire. Graded Color D–E, it reads as a flawless diamond across the table and to the naked eye.

Choose round and cushion studs across a range of carat sizes, in white, yellow or rose gold finish. For those who want a real stone, Satéur also offers an IGI-certified lab-grown diamond tier — genuine diamonds, conflict-free, far below mined prices.

Questions

Fake Diamond Stud Earrings, answered.

What are fake diamond stud earrings?+
They're studs set with a diamond simulant — cubic zirconia or moissanite — that replicates the look of a diamond. Satéur builds the look in moissanite, graded D–E colour, in nickel-free 925 sterling silver with an 18k gold finish, from $88.
What's the best fake diamond — CZ or moissanite?+
Moissanite. CZ rates ~8.5 Mohs and can cloud; moissanite rates 9.25 — second only to diamond — and returns more fire for life. Satéur's studs use moissanite.
Do fake diamond studs look real?+
Quality moissanite reads as a flawless diamond across the table and to the naked eye. Graded D–E colour with an Excellent cut, nobody can tell at a glance.
Will fake diamond earrings cloud over time?+
Cubic zirconia can cloud and dull within a few years. Moissanite stays brilliant for a lifetime, backed by the Satéur lifetime guarantee.
How much do diamond-look studs cost?+
From $88 a pair — roughly 1% of comparable mined-diamond studs, which can run $2,000–$10,000. Each pair arrives in the signature Satéur box.
Does Satéur sell real lab-grown diamond studs?+
Yes — Satéur offers a separate IGI-certified lab-grown diamond tier. Those are genuine diamonds, conflict-free, and 60–85% below mined prices.
